Melange V

The original Melange includes galleries of images from what we used to call the Land of the Free and what we still call the Great War. That page is full to bursting—you’ll find it takes some time to open—so I’m setting up this fifth Melange as home to the hundreds of WW1 and American pics that have accumulated in the ‘pending’ files; most of them courtesy of my invauable contributor and esteemed ami Francois.

Gloria Tramontin Struck, from Clifton, New Jersey, was, according to Wiki, an early members of the Motor Maids who made a number of long-distance runs through the 48 contiguous states and Europe. She was still riding to Sturgis in her late eighties, celebrate her 90th birthday, in 2015, by riding more than 1,700 miles to attend a Motor Maids rally and was Grand Marshal of the 85th Sturgis Rally on 1-10 August 2025.
